WHY TRAIN WITH A FORMER QUARTERBACK

There’s a difference between coaching the game—and truly understanding it from the inside out.

Having spent over 20 years playing football, including 16 years at the professional level as a quarterback, I’ve experienced the game in real time—reading defenses, making split-second decisions, leading teammates, and performing under pressure. That perspective shapes how I coach today.

I don’t just teach drills—I teach why things work. I help athletes understand the game, not just go through the motions. From footwork and mechanics to field awareness and confidence, every detail I coach comes from experience I’ve lived myself.

For girls playing the game today—many of whom are part of a rapidly growing sport—this matters. Flag football is evolving quickly, and having a coach who has competed at a high level, including representing Team USA Women’s Flag Football, gives athletes exposure to a deeper level of knowledge, preparation, and mindset.

I also understand what it’s like to be a female athlete in a sport that hasn’t always had the same visibility or opportunities. I’ve navigated that path—and now I’m here to help the next generation go even further.

Through Next Play Sport Training, my goal is to bridge the gap between experience and development—helping each athlete build confidence, sharpen their skills, and truly understand the game so they can play faster, smarter, and with purpose.
